Sarah Hodgetts
/Sarah Hodgetts is Deputy Director for Manufacturing, Defence, Electronics and Marine in the Advanced Manufacturing Directorate of the Department of Business Innovation and Skills. She is responsible for coordinating and delivering the Government’s strategic approach to advanced manufacturing businesses and their value chains across all sectors (including a focus on defence, electronics and marine).
She was previously Head of Apprenticeship Levy Delivery with responsibility for the delivery of the reforms to the way that apprenticeship funding will be delivered through business. Sarah has worked in Whitehall in policy and finance roles for over 12 years across the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, Treasury and No 10 - in a range of roles from migration and skills policy to Private Secretary and Head of Business Relations for the Chancellor. Her educational background is in industrial economics; she holds a diploma in management accounting and is a trained work coach.
